Diner

Diner

Designed in the classic ’50s style – booth seating, soda fountains, think Arnolds in Happy Days – the Diner, provisionally named Hucksters will provide the central catering heart of the complex.

Named in honour of Deborah Kerr’s breakthrough American movie ‘Hucksters’, the diner will use the best fresh local seasonal Scottish produce to produce great tasting diner fayre – from venison, through raspberries and onwards to langoustines.

The film starring Clark Gable and his ‘New Star- Deborah Kerr (rhymes with Star)’ was a Classic 1947 movie about the fledgling advertising industry, and also featured Adolf Menjou, and Sydney Greenstreet.

Once in Hucksters, you’ll be able to relax in a booth or perch on a chrome stool at the counter, shake in hand, taking in some of the original Deborah Kerr film memorabilia on display. And as with all the classic diners, you can watch your meal being prepared in front of you.

We reckon the authenticity of this venue, the cool atmosphere, fantastic food and friendly service will quickly put Hucksters on the West Coast’s culinary map and will be a hit with both locals and visitors alike.

Open 7 days a week from morning to night, Hucksters will provide the perfect hang out for folks of all ages who want somewhere to relax, share great food and soak in some of that old fashioned Hollywood magic.
