Gareth has twenty years of experience working as an architect for community groups. His past work includes upgrading a grade A listed Robert Adam building in Glasgow, refurbishing churches locally, in Glasgow and Dublin, designing buildings for the Douglas Bader Foundation and the development of a new eco friendly distillery for Scotland.
As a student in practice he spent a year designing high quality apartment blocks in Switzerland. Later a period of work in Russia included designing the first ever American pension funded development in the country – a housing development in the Moscow hills.
In the UK Gareth has designed the first housing in the New Neighbourhoods in Solihull and Liverpool for In Partnership, an award winning urban regeneration developer.
Gareth’s awareness of energy efficient design and place-making has been deepened by his long relationship with the award winning eco-house developer Living Villages.
