The Plans

Building on Scotland’s innovative and pioneering spirit, the Heroes Centre will create a Digital Academy designed to equip people of all stages of life with the skills required to engage and participate fully in the digital world.

The initial designs/plans provide:

A combination of Art Deco/High Tech Modern design (The age of Art Deco representing a sense of excitement and expectancy, a time of anticipating a future filled with promise.

“100 Seat fully Digital Auditorium with presentation stage: screening of movies, music, sporting events and ability to hold special events such as the Actor’s Studio

First floor

“Professional Studio Space, Incubation/innovation suite, editing suite and meeting rooms

Central Staircase

A central staircase will climb throughout the three floors, complete with viewing galleries, creating a cathedral like space complete with a formal Wall of Fame honouring the men and women with associations to Helensburgh who have led inspirational lives (the Helensburgh Heroes) containing memorabilia, ‘Hollywood Star’ type plaques and info panels.

Planning permission has been secured for the change of use and the project team are now working to bring these out line plans off the drawing board and into reality.
