Welcome to the Heroes Centre

Building on Scotland’s innovative and pioneering spirit, the Heroes Centre will create a Digital Academy designed to equip people of all stages of life with the skills required to engage and participate fully in the digital world.

From the town that gave the world the original Father of Television, John Logie Baird, the Heroes Centre will use the central themes of aspiration and inspiration to nurture and encourage the next generation of digital content creators.

In addition to delivering a unique and creative learning space, the Centre will provide a much needed leisure facility for the local community.

The Need for the Heroes Centre

The Heroes Centre deliberately sets out to create an environment of inspiration and creative freedom – we will make IT ‘sexy’ not stale. The Centre will open our eyes to technology.
